A mid-sized country estate formed by a series of Victorian and earlier buildings, grouped around a neo-gothic manor house. The Grade II Listed buildings had been badly damaged by fire in the 1970's and partly demolished. Stedman Blower and Roderick Gradidge designed a new wing to 'repair' the rump of the original house, with a hand-carved stone tower as its focus. The extension was completed in traditional materials of the highest quality by an excellent team of local joiners and masons, under Stedman Blower's direction.
