A Grade II Listed single-aisled Victorian post and beam frame with masonary walls along the lane. It was designed by Damien Blower and built for a young family who wanted a new home in a contemporary style. In the finished building, (Project architect, Elspeth Beard of Elspeth Beard Architects,) the curved and plastered walls, spiral stair and sinuous bridge contrast with the simple geometry of the timber frame. The project was part of Grand Designs 3rd Series on Channel 4.
